My hydrangeas are in full bloom, and I thought I’d share some snaps with you today. Of course nothing beats seeing them in the flesh, especially at dusk when they seem to glow with a lavender haze. But they are too lovely not to share! As you may have read here before, I dug these up and brought them to this home with me from my old house. It’s like seeing old friends every summer when their petals unfurl.
You can see more pictures of my hydrangeas this weekend, as I am taking part in another Instagram Takeover over at Laura Ashley! It’s always nerve wracking, so I’d be so grateful if any of you fancied heading over to see my pictures this weekend! Do let me know if you like them. You can find the Laura Ashley Instagram account here.
In case you’ve missed any of my posts recently, here are a couple of my favourites. Do hope over to see my eclectic, colourful Summer House Makeover (sponsored by AXA), and read about the divine afternoon I had at the Sweetpea & Willow blogger event.
This Monday not only was it my birthday, but I was also invited to the Mollie Makes Handmade Awards, which took place on a boat on the River Thames opposite the South Bank! I had an incredibly inspiring day with lots of talented people, and came home having met so many amazing makers, but also with a cute necklace I made at a Tatty Divine workshop! I met ceramists, jewellery makers, illustrators and print makers, and they made me want to get my craft hat on once the summer holidays are in full swing.
This weekend we will be based at home to catch up with ourselves, and I’m looking forward to cooking some nice food, and giving our allotment some overdue attention!
Have a wonderful day folks.
