Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well!
I just wanted to share these snaps with you, as a couple of weekends ago I was lucky enough to talk onstage with Annie Sloan and Dee Campling at the Handmade Fair in London, and it was such a wonderful afternoon! We were talking to a lovely audience about Instagram, styling, the influencer trend and authenticity. Lola came down with me and we had a brilliant couple of hours before the talk, wandering round the beautiful markets, full to the brim of gorgeous handmade items. From jewellery to homewares and everything in between, it was all there. Lola even chose one of her Christmas presents from me (nothing feels more satisfying than getting an early Christmas present in the bag!), and it was lovely to meet one of my Instagram friends, Kate at Grace And Flora, who makes the most exquisite silver jewellery cast from delicate nature finds.
I felt a little bit nervous whilst we were driving down to London, but once Annie, Dee and I were chatting backstage, I felt completely at home, and really loved the experience. Annie is not only a huge inspiration to me, but she’s such a genuinely lovely person too – I feel so lucky to be able to work with her.
I also got to briefly meet the one and only Kirstie Allsopp, who is of course the brainchild behind the Handmade Fair!
Just another reminder that this month’s Reclaim Magazine is on the shelves, and within it’s pages is my new monthly feature, Notes From A Stylist. This month I’m sharing tips for using reclaimed tiles in your home. The styling, pictures and words are all my own, so it’s a big deal and something I’m very proud of. Do let me know what you think!
I’ve got a stack of folders on my desktop with posts I’m so excited to share with you! I’ve got some lovely snaps from our day trip to Whitstable in the summer that I’d love to show you, so do pop back towards the end of next week. In case you missed my last post, I’ve had a gallery wall refresh in the dining room, and I absolutely love it, check it out here!
