I hope you had a wonderful fireworks and bonfire night. Last night I was sat at home, listening to the sound of fireworks all around and in the distance. There’s something so cosy about being cocooned at home listening to that sound. Although I imagine it’s all a bit stressful for those with furry friends.
Anyway, as promised here is a shoot I was commissioned to do a couple of weeks ago. The Cosy Shed are a mother and daughter team, who make these gorgeous handmade wreaths using dried blooms from their garden and allotment. I really love shooting things that are made with love, and I felt I was really going back to my roots shooting these whimsical wreaths, with their pretty, muted colours. Bringing a product to life for a client is what it’s all about for me, and these fitted in perfectly with my props – out came my battered garden chair, softly faded eiderdown and chippy painted frames. Hit the email icon at the top of this page if you’d like me to shoot your makes or products, it would be lovely to hear from you!
These would make such a beautiful, thoughtful (not to mention sustainable) Christmas gift for a loved one, so do check out their Instagram page, where you can find the link to their Etsy store.
Speaking of the ‘C’ word, I am rustling up another Christmas Gift Guide to share with you, as people seemed to enjoy it last year! Plus I do love to support my friends who have small businesses, so important to do that. You can see last year’s guide here, lots of suggestions for the vintage and handmade lover.
In other news I’m trying to install a widget so that you can subscribe and therefore never miss a post (I lost the old one when I decided to go for a more minimal blog template). You would think that things like that would be easy for me, but the truth is that I really struggle with anything technical like that! So please bear with me whilst I sort that out. Also, in case you missed my bathroom tile makeover, you can see it here, hope you like it!
Anyway, I need to go and shoot some pictures, enjoy the rest of your day!
