Car Boot Treasure!

Hello friends!

Just popping in to share some of my car boot fair treasures from Sunday!  I’ve been really good this year as I decided I was at a point where I simply had too much stuff.  I am a fairly chaotic person, and I’ve come to realise that I need order in my home, and I was bringing far more stuff into the house than what was going out.  Also throw into the mix the fact that I emptied out the craft room (to turn it into a studio), and the attic (for Revamp, Restyle, Reveal), and the result was that I had a lot of extra stuff that needed to be rehomed, either here or sold on.

As I have managed to really clear out unwanted items and furniture this year I decided I was allowed a little thrifting at the weekend.  I can’t go wrong with these finds, I know I will use them again and again as props in photos.  From the top –

Crockery : Jelly moulds are something I’ve started collecting, I love their pale simplicity.  And these plates make all food look amazing!  I love the little pots too, I think they might be mustard pots?

Vintage books : I can’t get enough of old books, and they’ve become one of my favourite props.  I love the colours of these, dusky blue hues.

Typewriter : It was £10, I couldn’t say no!!

I’m blogging every day this week, which is fun but a bit of a challenge!  You can see my other posts here –

Acquiring the typewriter was £10 well spent! It’s like a classic piece of “jewelry” for your lovely home; and, the perfect sidekick for your vintage book collection.

Oh my gosh, Tamsyn! How do you keep all of your treasures organized? I’m currently living in my parent’s old house. I’ve managed, with the help of a professional organizer, to remove lots of old stuff. My parents lived here for 50 years. Consequently they managed to accumulate a lot. My mother was a book-a-holic! I still have many of her old books, and other treasures, that look very much like your finds. They have a certain beauty to them, but at some point I have to say enough. It was difficult, but necessary, to say goodbye to some things,. Thanks, as always, for the lovely pictures.
