A Corner Of My Living Room

Hello everyone!

I’m sat here on a rainy June evening, I have a woolly cardigan on, and it’s dark and gloomy with only two days until the summer solstice!  However, as someone whose garden doesn’t really get going until July, the hydrangeas and dahlias are absolutely loving it.  So I’m feeling pretty relaxed about the rain!

Anyway, I really like this little corner in my living room at the moment, so I thought I’d snap it to share it with you.  I was lucky enough to go the Country Brocante last Friday, and I have a whole blog post up my sleeve as you are going to love it – but in the meantime, I just wanted to share one of my purchases.  I spotted these amazing, rusty zinc pots being sold by Rosehip In The Country, and I knew I had to have them.  I really love anything zinc, plus the patina really appeals to my love of anything with a slightly industrial feel at the moment.  I’m thinking that these will look amazing in the summer with succulents planted in them, and magical in the winter with candles inside.

I’ll be back in a couple of days with my latest Reclaim snaps, and ideas for taking the inside out, for pretty outdoor summer living!  Who knows, it might even have stopped raining here by then! 😀

Oh, it’s so charming. I love the white piece of furniture with all the tiny narrow drawers. What is it called?

Thank you so much Lisa! It’s an old print drawer, so the drawers are all print trays and divided up into little sections. I keep all my odds and ends in there!
