Blooms To Say ‘Thank You’

Hello everyone!

First of all, apologies for the radio silence!  I have been up to my eyeballs in DIY, and if I’m being completely honest, I’m exhausted with it.  Finishing the bay window in my bedroom in the summer, turning the craft room into a studio, and now getting my bathroom retiled.  (I removed the tiles myself to save some cash – and yes, it was a bit of a nightmare!  I’ll tell you all about that in another post, along with my tips if you fancy giving it a go yourself!)

The new studio is coming along very nicely though, and I’m almost ready to take some photos to share with you. I’m really happy with the new built in cupboard, and I’m still deciding on how to paint the bare plaster.  I’m thinking of going for a wash of colour so that the plaster shows through, almost like old church walls.  I have an idea in my head of what I want, it’s just finding the way to best achieve it!

Once it’s finished, it’s going to be such a perfect space for setting up interior scenes and vignettes.  I’ve already completed my first shoot in there for a client, so if you need any product photography done, then please do get in touch!

Once all these projects are completed, then I’m looking forward to just living in my house with no tools lying around or mess anywhere.  It is all so very worth it though, and I have to keep remembering that when I have dust, paint and plaster in my hair and all over my clothes!

I received a very exciting email today, and I want to say a huge ‘Thank You!’ to all of you who voted for me and this blog, in the Interior Blog Awards.  I made it through to the shortlist!  I still can’t quite believe it, my first thought when I got the email, was ‘What if they’ve accidentally emailed the wrong person?  What if this email wasn’t meant for me?’  Well it turns out that it was for me, and I’m absolutely over the moon.  So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for voting.  These flowers are for you, lovely readers!
