A Burst of Spring Colour

Hello everyone, Happy Valentine’s Day!
It’s time for a pop of colour in my home, especially as signs of spring seems to be slowly edging their way into the picture. It stayed light until 5pm last, which made me ridiculously happy – as someone who loves to take photographs, the window for taking snaps is so small during the winter months, and it can be a desperate scramble to get the shots you need. Yesterday was a beautiful day, and I did something I haven’t done for a long time – I went round the house and took lots of photos of corners and vignettes, flooded with sunshine. It makes such a difference to have that sweet sunlight pouring through the window! I’ve moved a table that was in my craft room up to the bay window in my bedroom, which is where I’m sat now with a cup of tea, looking out across the city and the hazy sunshine that the castle and cathedrals are basking in.
I’ve also been really enjoying giving some furniture a colourful makeover thanks to Annie Sloan Chalk Paints. I’ll be posting the first of my projects once I’ve bought a couple of houseplants to style it up with (yes, I’m finally fallen in love with the botanical vibe!), so do pop back to see the me unveil the finished piece.
I have an exciting announcement to make tomorrow about our next Decorative Styling Workshop, so do come back to see where we will be bringing our props and flowers to next, then I have an absolutely amazing Jessica Zoob giveaway later in the week – I’m so excited, I have so many gorgeous posts lined to share with you!
I’m heading into town shortly to run an errand for my Dad, and to meet my lovely friend Lucy for a latte. I think I may have to have a snoop in Sue Ryder Vintage to see if there are any treasures – it is Valentine’s day after all, so a girl can treat herself!
Have a wonderful day!

Please do leave a comment, I love hearing from you!
Oh such gorgeous flowers Tamsyn – I really wish i had somewhere near me that had a good selection! Looking forward to seeing the Annie Sloan paint transformation – i’ve been a bit slow getting back into the painting spirit so far this year. Hopefully, if the sun continues to make an appearance, I will get my pots and brush out. Have a great day. x
Hello Paula! Ah thank you, the primroses were from the market, and the ranunculus were from M&S! Looking forward to catching up next week xx
