Today I'm sharing some snaps taken over the last week or so of my beloved hydrangeas.
English Peonies is based in Norfolk about 35 minutes from me, and as the name suggests, is a fabulous cutting garden where Sarah grows stunning peonies alongside all other cut flowers.
A couple of weeks ago, on what was perhaps the hottest day of the year here in Norfolk, the children and I went to explore the beautiful gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage.
On Wednesday I received this lovely box of goodies. I had a firm idea in my head that I wanted to shoot it on my trestle table, down the road on a little patch of heath where the cow parsley is out.
Perch Hill is a little patch of pure heaven, nestled into the beautiful Sussex countryside. Full of vibrant, colourful planting schemes, and neatly organised tiered vegetable beds that look out across the lush green countryside.
My hydrangeas are in full bloom, and I thought I'd share some snaps with you today. Of course nothing beats seeing them in the flesh, especially at dusk when they seem to glow with a lavender haze.
