Today I'm sharing some snaps taken over the last week or so of my beloved hydrangeas.
A couple of weeks ago, on what was perhaps the hottest day of the year here in Norfolk, the children and I went to explore the beautiful gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage.
I love that time of day, an hour before the sun slides behind the trees. If there are no clouds, the golden glow makes the prettiest pools of light and shadows on the walls upstairs.
My hydrangeas are in full bloom, and I thought I'd share some snaps with you today. Of course nothing beats seeing them in the flesh, especially at dusk when they seem to glow with a lavender haze.
When I was at the Amara Blog Awards back in October, amongst all the lovely people I met, I had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous team from The French Bedroom Company, purveyors of beautiful furniture and home accessories.
It's that time of year when you may have already cut and dried some hydrangeas, or you're about to (some of mine in the garden have withered away, whereas some are still in full bloom), so it's a good time to get crafting and to make those flower heads into a beautiful, rustic wreath.
