I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! I rather reluctantly dragged myself out of bed this morning, as I’ve had a cold this week and still feel very woolly headed as a result.
So, I’m very excited to reveal part one of our new craft room, taa-daa! In true Tamsyn style, I’ve still got painting to do but hey, it will all get done eventually!
I had the idea for this little set up a few weeks ago, when I can across this fantastic old flag in a local antique and vintage emporium. It is perfectly tattered, and over the years it has been painstakingly repaired over and over again.
I just unpacked these beautiful old plates, and had to share them with you. They are far from perfect, the glaze has crackled and discoloured and one has at some point broken, and been glued back together very badly.
I make no secret of the fact that I can’t wait for the car boot season to start up again. I will be there, with bells on!! With the exception of the print drawers, everything in this little vignette came from car boot fairs.
I got handy with a hammer over the weekend, and made my own gallery of vintage pictures, a mismatched collection of upcycled frames, car boot finds and vintage handbags in box frames.
