I was commissioned to take these for Reclaim Magazine, and my brief was to style my take on Modern Chintz. Which of course I absolutely loved! As you know, I’ve always been heavily inspired by florals. Big, blousy, chintzy florals, on fabric, on lampshades and as wall art.
Well, a few days ago I thought Spring was finally on it's way. However as I'm sat writing this late on Saturday night, we have a couple of centimetres of snow!
For the February issue, I shared how you can decorate using vintage portraits. Romantic portraits look beautiful even in a modern home, and help to create a sense of history. Gather collections of old photographs, portraits and figurines, and style en masse for a whimsical display.
For the January Issue, I shared four ways to upcycle vintage glasses. I don't know about you, but I'm a sucker for pretty vintage glassware. Especially as it's so easy to pick up cheaply at car boot fairs and thrift shops and charity shops.
I've been collecting beautiful antique and vintage tiles over the last few years, mainly because of my eclectic splash back in my bathroom. So it was fun to come up with a few different ideas!
For some reason I've felt ultra inspired today, which is strange as I've actually felt pretty jaded all day! Isn't it funny how creativity and ideas come and go in surges?
