Hello everyone!
It’s a bit of a bumper pack of photographs today – but there’s nothing quite like looking through festive eye candy!
I missed posting yesterday (I’d posted every day since Friday which is a bit of a record for me, go and have a browse if you’ve missed my posts!) as we were feeling a little under the weather. Only enough to make me feel cloudy headed and my throat a bit sandpapery, but a day at home doing Christmassy things has made all the difference. Today Lola has made us scrambled eggs, and this morning we are going to ice the Christmas cake, which we put marzipan on yesterday after a little bickering over who was going to paint the jam on, who’d eaten some marzipan etc etc.
Since being freelance, I have been lucky enough to work with Collette Hanlon, interior designer and owner of Homestagers. Homestagers create beautiful showhomes and interiors, so Collette has a warehouse a mere five minute drive down the road from me, full of furniture and props. I was lucky enough to be introduced to Collette a few years ago by a mutual friend, so I dropped her a line when I went freelance, and now I’m lucky enough to be taking photographs for her blog! I’ve also been out on location with her styling one of the many show homes she designs, which is a dream job for me. Anyway, these are some snaps from the Christmas room sets I styled and photographed for her this month on two different days, both with a very Scandinavian feel. So much fun when you have a warehouse full of gorgeous things to rummage in!
Later this afternoon we will wander down to the city to get hot chocolate (maybe a mulled wine for me!), pick up a few last minute bits, admire the beautiful lights and buy some cheese from the amazing cheese stall on the market. I might watch It’s a Wonderful Life Tonight. These few days running up to Christmas are so magical – I hope you all get to have a little sparkle and magic today!
