Decorative Home & Salvage Show – Loseley Park

Hello everyone!

I hope your week is treating you well so far.  We finally have some beautiful weather here in Norfolk, so I have all the windows open to enjoy the glorious sunshine!

The Decorative Home & Salvage Show

Back in July, I went to The Decorative Home & Salvage Show at Losely Park, to create another video for the Arthur Swallow Fairs team.  As always, I had a brilliant time browsing the stalls, styling a scene, and of course coming home with a few treasures.  (You can read more about my involvement with Arthur Swallow Fairs in this post here, with photos from the Beale Park Decorative Home & Salvage Show.)

Source & Style Video

Working again with my creative partner, writer and interior stylist Alice Roberton, we created another Source & Style video.  In these videos, we share tips on buying and displaying vintage, antique and salvaged decorative pieces for your home.  We explore the stands and pick out some perfect pieces for our theme – this time we went for a monochrome palette, with some botanical elements.  We then style our finds to hopefully give buyers ideas on how they could create the same look at home.  You can see the video here, over on the @ASFairs Instagram IGTV.

Decorative Home & Salvage Show This Weekend!

If you’re itching to go treasure hunting, you’re in luck, as this weekend it’s the last Decorative Home & Salvage Show of the year, and it’s going to be gorgeous!  I will be heading up to the beautiful Ripley Castle, to join the team once again.  Alice and I will be creating our third inspirational Source & Style video, this time embracing an autumnal palette to create a rich, warm, rustic/antique aesthetic.

On My shopping List!

If you are looking for some beautiful timeworn treasures for your home, come and join us!  I will be at the fair on Friday, and I’m so looking forward to it.  I will have my vintage radar on for the following –  (I hope some of the dealers read this!).

1) A cute vintage wall plate rack.  I’m really enjoying actually using my mismatched blue and white and floral crockery.  I think eating delicious food from a pretty plate makes mealtimes a much more lovely affair.  So a slim wall rack to fit neatly into my tiny kitchen is top of my list.

2) I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect garden table for ages.  It’s to go on my decking, so a round (I feel a round table would work so much better than rectangular/square, especially as the space isn’t huge) metal or wood table with lots of patina is on my wishlist.

You can see full info about the fair this weekend here.  Really hope to see you there, do come and say hello!
