Decorative Vintage Styling Workshop – A Day Of Inspiration

Hello everyone!

So, last Saturday was our Decorative Vintage Styling Workshop in Norwich, and we had the most wonderful day.  We first talked about it back in September, so it was exciting and a little nerve wracking for the big day to finally arrive!  Katie and I spent Friday organising and packing props, and buying beautiful flowers for our attendees to play with to their heart’s desire.  We had all sorts of people come along, from ladies who already run successful small businesses, to folks who are just starting out by selling their makes on Etsy.  We had a florist, jewellery maker, and illustrator.  We also had a few people who just came to be inspired, and spend the day being creative!  It was a really friendly bunch, and we had a gorgeous afternoon.

Half an hour before the workshop finished, everyone made themselves a little posy in a jam jar to take home and practice their styling and photography with.  Please do check out the #decorativevintagestyling tag on Instagram to see some of the beautiful shots that people took on the day!

The thing that I was most surprised about, was how completely inspired I felt by the whole experience.  I had obviously hoped that Katie and I would be able to inspire others, but I didn’t really expect that it would also give me a surge of creativity.  As I have said before, I think it’s such an important thing to learn new skills, and to be around other creative people.  It was a really lovely feeling to share our knowledge with others, and to help people to find their creative mojo!

I’m really excited to announce that our next workshop will be on Saturday, 8th April 2017, at The Enterprise Centre, Derby University, an amazing venue with lots of gorgeous natural light.  I really look forward to meeting some of you there!   Have a wonderful Wednesday, I will be back on Friday with details of my amazing Jessica Zoob print giveaway so please do pop back!
