Decorative Vintage Styling Workshop

(Hey folks, as this event has been and gone, I’ve taken the links out x)
Hello everyone!
There are some truly amazing workshops and courses you can sign up for at the moment, to find your creative mojo. I really think that as a creative person, you can never learn too much, or be too inspired. Of course there are courses and retreats all over the country now, but it’s not always easy for everyone to travel. There is little in the way of creative styling workshops in my neck of the woods however, so I have some exciting news for those of you who live in or near my home town of Norwich, Norfolk! I have teamed up with fellow blogger and wedding/event stylist Katie Sutton from The Vintage House That Could. We have been hatching this plan for a few months, and we sealed the deal over afternoon tea at Sketch in London back in October (such a treat – oh to be a lady that lunches!) Anyway, we have taken the plunge and have decided to run a one day Decorative Vintage Styling workshop in Norwich, on Saturday 11th February 2017. So exciting!

(The girls with the fringes!)
We will get to spend the day together at Studio 20 playing with lots of lovely props, and Katie and I will go through the following –
How to decorate and style surfaces in your home using vintage finds
How to style and photograph vignettes
Are you a crafter or maker? Bring your makes with you and we can advise you on ways to style and photograph them!
Styling flowers in vintage vessels
Sharing your pictures to social media, using hashtags
Katie and I both have a huge passion and love for all things vintage, so we will be loading our little cars up full of props, fabrics, flowers, backdrops, and all things gorgeous so you can have a fun and creative day whilst improving or even discovering your styling skills for the first time! The day will run 11am – 3.30pm, and we will provide an afternoon tea for everyone. Before we finish our workshop, we will gather the blooms used throughout the day, and everyone will get to make and take home a little posy. Everyone is welcome, and we hope you will join us on what is going to be a really lovely day!
As an introductory price, tickets will be £45 each, and we have 20 places. Tickets are available on Katie’s website here. Full info on the day (parking, dietary requirements etc) will be emailed out closer to the workshop. It would make a great Christmas present for someone who loves all things pretty vintage!
Don’t forget that this weekend I’ve taken over the Laura Ashley UK Instagram account, so come and say hello! I’m also heading down to London for a spot of festive crafting which I’m really excited about, so I’ll take some snaps to share with you next week!
Have a gorgeous weekend!
