Hello August!

Hello friends!
How are you? It’s been a while hasn’t it, but for a very good reason. I have, for the first time ever, had more bookings as a photographer the last 6 weeks, than I have ever had before. My work is usually a real mix of styling, photographic work, and photographic assisting. But in June and July, the pendulum has definitely swung more in the direction of photographer. And I’m so grateful for that. I feel like I’m finally doing the work I always wanted to do. I still have an awful lot of learning to do, but that’s the beauty of it – there’s always room for creative learning and progression.
One of the side effects of course of spending one’s time shooting for other people, is that there is a lot less time left for blogging/Instagramming etc! But that’s just the way it is. As always I can’t wait to share my recent shoots with you once I’m allowed to, you are going to love them. Vintage interiors, vintage furniture, beautiful old books…all our favourite things!
What we’ve been up to…
Other things that have happened in the last month are as follows : I turned 44, my darling girl turned 14 (14!! How?!), we both went to Latitude festival, the dahlias in the garden have burst into bloom. I also upgraded my camera to full frame just in the nick of time, before all these shoots started. (I didn’t really think it would make much difference, but it really has.)
I am also having a beautiful new website built. The blog will be within it and won’t change, but it will have a more generous section to show off my portfolio. It’s a bit like moving to a slightly bigger shop premises, or at least that’s the way I’m looking at it!
Anyway, things seem to be easing up a little bit now, which means I can finally sort through some photos to share with you. In the meantime, wishing you all a gorgeous start to the new month!
