Hello everyone!  How are you all?

I have a tingly excitement inside of me today.  I have spent the last week or so feeling mournful about the fast approaching end of summer and the holidays.  And whilst I know the children are not overjoyed at the prospect of the ‘S’ word (especially my son, I foresee some grumbling and pouting when he has to put his uniform on next week), I have decided to stop feeling sad about what has passed and instead to be excited about what is coming.

If September behaves itself weather wise, it really can be the loveliest month.  The dahlias will still still be blooming and I’m also secretly excited about flickering candles, fairy lights, playing with light and shadows in my photography, and blankets round shoulders.  I’m also excited about posting more here after my summer break, and I have some lovely posts brewing for you all!  I am also pulling together my first ever newsletter (have you signed up yet?) so keep an eye out for that in your inboxes soon.

I’m also out and about this month at a few events which I’m really looking forward to, so do come and say hello if you are attending any of these!

Sunday 10th September : Paperfest at London Olympia, I’ll be talking on a panel about growing your social media presence.

Sunday 17th September : The Handmade Fair at Hampton Court – I’ll be talking about styling and photography for social media with Annie Sloan and Dee Campling!

Saturday 23rd September : Fellow blogger Lucy Gleeson and I are organising a photo walk in beautiful Southwold (see one of my Southwold posts here) which I am so excited about!  Come and spend a fun few hours with us snapping the beautiful beach huts and pretty houses, we will stop for tea and cake too!  I’ll post about times and it will be weather permitting.

So there you have it, some pretty cool things happening this month!  I do love getting out and about and meeting people too, I think that any creative person needs to do that from time to time to keep inspired.

I’ve edited some photographs from our wonderful trip to the Great Dorset Steam Fair last week, lots of happy fairground pictures!   I’ll post that over the weekend so please do pop back.

Happy September!
