Hyacinths in Vintage Canning Jar – And A Catch Up!

Hello everyone!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far.
My trip to Leeds was a huge success. It was so fun to hang with my mum and brother, and I have a few ‘must visit’ shops and coffee houses/restaurants which I will pull together into a blog post. Mum and I hit the sales hard, and I came home with a few treasures which I will share with you soon!
When I came home from Leeds, I had a few hours to empty my suitcase before packing again and heading down to London for a night to work on a children’s shoe campaign shoot the next day! It’s fair to say January has been completely bonkers busy, and as a freelance gal, I’m so grateful for that. You have to make hay whilst the sun shines! I am however looking forward to some time soon to pull together my newsletter which I hope some of you will sign up for.
I am packing props today as I am off to Wales early in the morning to style an Easter feature for Reclaim Magazine (you can see the Christmas feature I styled here). I’m so excited because not only do I get to work with Janice Issitt and Alice Roberton again, but we are staying and shooting at a beautiful, rustic house, and we have all sorts of ideas up our sleeves. I’m looking forward to creating some gorgeous images and having a giggle with the girls!
I have another collaboration up my sleeve which I am SO excited to share with you – the lovely folks at Annie Sloan have been in touch! Not only have they sent me some of their incredible Chalk Paint for a couple of projects I have waiting in the wings, but I have also been invited to meet the lady herself at a workshop in March at her Oxford headquarters! As you can imagine, I am going to have to keep calm and try not to fan girl too hard, but what an honour…I can’t wait to learn some of Annie’s tips and tricks. Watch this space.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I must now go and pack for Wales, take some shots for a client, and make a roast dinner for my children. I’m sorry that I have posted so few times this month, but as the hyacinths in these snaps prove, spring is on it’s way, and with it, longer, lighter days. As much as I have loved hygge, I love light more. Especially when it comes to taking photographs for you lovely readers!

How exciting meeting Annie Sloan ( I’m not jealous!) Joking aside how thrilling for you. Well deserved. I only found you after reading your article in Country Living and have followed ever since. Your use of colour, your photography and blogs are a delight! Looking forward to your newsletter! Wishing you continued success, best wishes Janet XX
