My Cosy Reading Nook

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Wayfair.  All views are my own.

Hello everyone, I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend!  I can’t quite believe November is almost upon us.  Time to get cosy and bring back a bit of that magical hygge which was such a big part of last winter!

So, I have collaborated with the lovely people at Wayfair before, when I styled my son’s bedroom with one of their beautiful rugs.  This time they gave a handful of bloggers the chance to style up one of these classic Julian Joseph chairs, and the brief was to create a cosy reading nook.  A corner to sit and enjoy a good book and a hot cup of tea.  I love a good armchair, and my bay window in my bedroom has the perfect space for a spot of lounging.  I sit there with my morning cuppa, and watch the city below me wake up.

It was tough to choose from the beautiful selection of Julian Joseph chairs, with their vintage style details, some of them in gorgeous velvet.  I chose the Eversley armchair in natural, as I really love anything with a button back.  I also knew that the oatmeal coloured linen fabric would fit anywhere in my home, and could be accessorised with throws and cushions according to the season.

This chair is luxurious to sink into.  It’s generous proportions means you can really snuggle into it, and get really comfy.  This little spot is now the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by, and I found my daughter nestled into it with a book the other day!  I paired my chair with a simple vintage side table, vase of blooms and piles of books for relaxed elegance.  It would also look great with more contemporary styling – you have to do very little to make this chair look good!

In other news, we have a glorious half term week ahead of us, and my parents are coming to visit us which is lovely!  We are hoping for some pumpkin carving, maybe a trip to the seaside for a walk and some fish and chips, and to get some minor DIY jobs done around the house.

Have a wonderful Halloween everyone!
