Mollie Makes Calendar – April

Hello everyone!

I hope your week has got off to a lovely start.  I actually wrote a whole post for this on Saturday morning and felt very pleased with myself, but just before I pressed publish, my wifi decided to freeze and I lost the whole post!  Modern technology, huh?

Anyway, the original post grumbled about the lack of Spring like weather, and the foggy mist that hung heavy over the city for five whole days.  Since then, I’m delighted to announce that spring has finally arrived, hurrah!  Which of course means a desperate scramble to sort and tidy all available outside spaces.  Cue mass clear up operation at the allotment, and me scrubbing the decking, oh the glamour!

Mollie Makes Calendar, April…

Anyway, here’s a little whisimal sweetness to brighten your day.  You may remember that I was given the great honour last summer of shooting the Mollie Makes magazine 2018 calendar.  This is the project that I shared for April, and today I’m sharing a few extra snaps with you.

This floral chandelier is so easy to make, using mini bottles (I used vintage but you can get miniature milk style bottles online) and copper wire.  I used a copper wire floral wreath base (from Hobbycraft)for the top of my mobile, and I decorated each bottle with a scrap of vintage fabric.  Perfect for displaying tiny blooms in.

In case you missed it, you can see my first post about my trip to Paris here.  I’ve got another post up my sleeve which will go into the more practical side of what I managed to fit into 24 hours.  I also went magnolia hunting today, and managed to find some beauties to photograph.  I’ll edit and post those snaps with you as soon as I can.

Have a wonderful week!
