Powdery Pink Still Life

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend?

I got a bit creative with the studio wall the other day.  I knew I wanted to give it a wash of watered down paint to accentuate the imperfections in the plaster.  It turns out that getting that elegant, ‘wabi sabi’ feel (the acceptance of transience and imperfection), is not so easy to recreate.  Some of these photos were taken mid process, before I decided to drip yet more watered down paint down the wall!  But I kind of love it.  I think it will probably be a long term project, that I will add to now and then.  For now, I love how it looks in these photos, especially with the addition of these dusky pink hydrangeas and slubby linens.

It’s the Interior Blog Awards this week, and I’m really looking froward to it.  Cue a much needed hair cut, and a venture into town to try and find something to go with a vintage beaded top I fancy wearing!

You can also find my last post here, where I share some recent photography I did for a lovely client.  My little studio is full of gorgeous props and backdrops if you would like me to do some product photography for you!  Click on the envelope at the the top of this page if you want to make an enquiry, I would love to hear from you.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
