Shades of Pale

- Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well.
I have been so envious of the little white pumpkins that are all over Instagram at the moment! But why be envious when you can buy the sweet mini pumpkins on sale in Aldi, and give them a coat of white chalk paint? I decided to pull together this little still life of all things pale and muted – I made a mini studio in my living room to shoot this because the light was so lovely. I also had fun playing with my new 50mm lens, which I’m really loving to give a bit more variety to my style of photographs.
With my crafting mojo back in full swing, I pulled out my sewing machine on Monday, and it felt soo good. I’ve got some lovely crafting projects coming up in November and December – do leave me a comment if there is anything in particular you would like to see here on the blog, I do love to hear from you folks!
I’m packing my bag today to travel down to London in the morning to attend the Amara Blog Awards tomorrow evening. Yep, I’m getting nervous! I can’t wait though, really looking forward to meeting some other bloggers at what I’m sure is going to be a very beautiful and stylish evening.
Another thought on those pumpkins – I recently put my name down on the waiting list for an allotment. I know the list is long, and that it could be a couple of years before I get a plot, which actually suits me – but how exciting is that? I’m hoping project allotment will give me the space I need to grow my beloved dahlias and grow some beautiful vegetables. If anyone has any good info about having your first allotment, I’d love to hear it!

Hello Tamsyn …. I found your beautiful blog via a friend who sent me here 🙂 I have read some of your posts & just wanted to stop by & tell you how wonderful your blog is …. it is surely one of my absolute favourite places to visit. Your pictures are just amazing & I just love your style.
I am growing dahlias in my garden …. I only have pink, yellow & apricot bulbs at present. It is spring here in my part of the world & they are just poking their heads through the soil now. Have a wonderful day & thank you for brightening mine. Sending greetings & hugs from New Zealand, Julie x x
