Slipping into Autumn
I rescued these dahlias from the rain the other day, and I noticed how pretty the light was as they sat on the table…they are Penhill Dark Monarch, and they haven’t really flowered that well over the summer. Maybe they need a bit more space? Sometimes I think we all need a little more space!
Anyway, it’s time to embrace all the autumnal colours and textures. My favourite vintage cotton reels in their luscious hues do this perfectly I think, tangerine and mustard look so delicious against rustic textures and wood.
In case you missed my last post about my lovely new living room floor, you can see it here.
I’ll be back in a couple of days with some photographs I took for a wonderful commission this summer, I’ve been so excited to share them and now I finally can!
