Southwold Instameet and Photowalk
As promised, here are some snaps from our wonderful Instameet (Instagram meet up) and photo walk that Lucy from Lucy Loves Ya Blog and I organised a few Saturday’s ago. The purpose of this little meet up was simple – to meet and connect with other like minded creative people. To make new friends, and have a giggle whilst exploring pretty Southwold. To be inspired, and to fill your camera roll with beautiful snaps. And to have ice cream!
Lucy and I have have known each other a little while now through Instagram (see Lucy’s Instagram here), and we finally met up in spring of this year. It was SO lovely to meet meet her, and we had a wander through Southwold, and we literally didn’t stop talking from the moment we met up to the moment we got in our cars to go home. Blogging by it’s very nature can be a solitary business, and it’s so good to talk face to face with someone about it all, as we navigate the pitfalls of the blogging world! We decided soon after that Southwold be a brilliant place to organise a gathering, to try and connect with other like minded people in East Anglia.
The skies that morning were ominous, with big black clouds rolling past, which made for some pretty striking beach hut shots! We met up with our lovely group, and took our time as we wandered down the sea front, snapping and chatting, before heading up through town. The weather was very kind, and rain only graced us with it’s presence briefly, so I did get the chance to use my fabulous new rainbow umbrella! In town we popped into a couple of lovely shops, had ice cream at Harris and James (delicious!!), before heading to the pretty pastel houses near the lighthouse. We rounded the meet up with tea and coffee on the pier, and by then the sun was shining. Thank you so much @seesuffolk @lifeatlynchgreen @inspire.enjoy @gingerandlime1 @dasiygalforg for making our first meet up such a success!
Lucy and I are planning to organise a Norwich meet up in the spring, around blossom season, which I am so excited about! You do not need to be on Instagram and you do not need to be a photographer, so please do come and join us, details will be announced in the new year on our East Anglia Insta Meets Facebook page.
In case you missed my last post, I have some exciting news! Have a lovely weekend!
