Styling The Seasons – January

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely weekend.

It’s so grey, cold and wet here in the UK at the moment, that I decided I needed a little floral inspiration in my life.  Blousy blooms and pastel shades are just what I need to brighten up these dark mornings and icy evenings.  I’ve been collecting these floral prints for years now.  Consigned to most people’s filing cabinet of dated chintz, I can now find them easily enough in charity and car boot fairs, with a little rummaging.  And they look lovely when grouped together like this (I didn’t realise I had so many!).
I made this little gallery next to my bed to remind me that longer and milder days are not so far away now.  I made the green frame for one of the larger prints years ago from some architraving (the moulding that goes round a door) that my dad and I found at a reclamation yard.

Head over to Katy’s blog Apartment Apothecary and Charlotte at Lotts and Lots to see lots of beautiful and inspiring Styling The Seasons posts, or search the hashtag #StylingTheSeasons on Instagram.  Why not join in on Instagram by styling your own surface according to what this month means to you?

I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday!

  • This is so pretty Tamsyn. I keep on saying it, but I haven't quite got into the habit of having fresh flowers in the house yet since Christmas. They make such a difference to brightening up the home so I must get back in the floral 'groove'! Inspiring as always. x

  • Beautiful as ever Tamsyn . Your style is just gorgeous and I love the colours, spring does not seem too far away now does it. Love Laura x

  • Oh my goodness! So, so soft and pretty. It's just dreamy xx
