Summerhouse Hydrangeas

Hello everyone!

I snipped these hydrangeas today and plonked them in this deliciously rustic zinc bucket, and it made me smile.  So I thought I would share some snaps with you.  I’m always a little torn at this time of year in the garden, between cutting lots of hydrangeas, and leaving them to continue to enjoy them throughout what will, hopefully, be a lovely warm September.  I feel that August whizzed by, so I want to take a moment to stop and smell the flowers this month.

In case anyone is wondering, the ‘table’ in the summerhouse is merely an old metal trunk I got from a car boot fair many moons ago (I will have paid a few pounds, I never painted the back which always bugs me slightly when I photograph it!) with a piece of marble on top.  The marble was from eBay.  The summerhouse has settled into a state of quiet comfort, with different textures and layers, just the way I like it.

I hope your week gets off to a good start!
