Sunday Snapshots

Hello everyone!  I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend?

I took some snaps on my phone over the last week that I thought were too pretty not to share.  We had such a fun half term, and my parents came to visit us.  We had a couple of really lovely day trips up to the North Norfolk coast.

First up was Cromer, where we visited the Little Gem shop and we all came out with some treasure!  The children love picking semi precious gems and stones from the huge display in there.  I came home with some rose quartz and amethyst, which I shall put in pretty little bowls.

We took a wander down to the pier, and passed these gorgeous pastel houses on the way.  I also stumbled on the old cinema, which has a fabulously retro sign still.

We had a peek in the reception of the Hotel de Paris, a magnificent Victorian hotel overlooking the pier.  It has the most incredible mosaic step just outside the entrance – I’m pretty obsessed with these old mosaic floors at the moment!

We bought fish and chips (from Mary Jane’s – the best fish and chips in Cromer!) and wandered back down to the pier to sit in one of the old shelters to eat them.

On Thursday, took a trip to Wells-next-the-Sea.  I haven’t been there for years, so I was looking forward to seeing the beautiful, eclectic beach huts again.  We stopped of in Burnham Market en route, the prettiest, chocolate box village of Georgian houses and quaint shops.  We had tea and cake there and I even managed to get a tiny bit of Christmas shopping done there!

Once we got to Wells, we took a wander up to the incredible beach.  Wells is famous for the vasty, sandy beach, lined with a beautiful pine forest, and a long row of beautiful, traditional beach huts.  I took lots of snaps on my bigger camera which I will share with you – the huts have a very timeless feel, and you could almost imagine Victorian ladies in their bloomers climbing down the steps!

I took the last snap on my wander into Norwich yesterday morning, this one was in the entrance to a shop on Magdalen Street.

Don’t forget there isn’t long to buy your copy of the festive Mollie Makes, which includes the 2018 calendar that I styled and shot!  If you have bought it, do let me know what you think.

Have a wonderful start to the new week!
