I rescued these dahlias from the rain the other day, and I noticed how pretty the light was as they sat on the table...
I have never appreciated Autumn as much as I am at the moment. I have never cared that much for rustling through leaves, and the ember shades they turn. Rambling vines, red against flint walls.
In a nod to the Autumnal weather which is fast approaching, I had a burning desire to pull together shades of burnt umber and russet. There's nothing more cosy and comforting than opulent shades of burgundy, gold and turmeric, mixed with dusky pinks and olive green.
