I got a bit creative with the studio wall the other day. I knew I wanted to give it a wash of watered down paint to accentuate the imperfections in the plaster. It turns out that getting that elegant, 'wabi sabi' feel (the acceptance of transience and imperfection), is not so easy to recreate.
I have been so envious of the little white pumpkins that are all over Instagram at the moment! But why be envious when you can buy the sweet mini pumpkins on sale in Aldi, and give them a coat of white chalk paint?
You may have noticed that I have had a bit of a blog spruce up. I'm sure that the new design will take some getting used to, but I do hope you like it - it was a big decision for me, to move from the blogging platform I have used since the beginning of 2013, and to come to Wordpress.
I have been having a clear out of my photographs. I had the dreaded 'No more storage space' message come up on my phone, so out of necessity I've been trawling through thousands of photographs working out what to keep and what to get rid of.
I decided to go with Enchanted Mermaid for my interior front door, which I knew would 'pop' agains white walls and woodwork, and I'm completely in love with it, it makes me smile very time I see it!
This month might be one of the most exciting ever when it comes to this little blog, I can barely contain myself! I am absolutely delighted to have been nominated for the Amara Interior Blog Awards.
