I took these photos a few weeks ago (24th and 25th September to be precise!) and it already feels like a lifetime ago. Just look at that sunshine! Things have got decidedly Autumnal around here, and I'm fine with that.
I came back from the allotment the other week with this haul of fiery dahlias. I make no apology for the countless dahlia snaps - they are truly majestic, there is no other bloom like them.
This week, I have been working on a big photography commission. I've been lucky enough to have been briefed for quite a few commissions this year when I think about it, but this one is my biggest gig yet, and I'm so honoured to have been asked to do it.
My dahlias are incredible at the moment - they are furiously blooming away in their final blaze of glory before the frosts arrive!
I had the good fortune to drive past a little greengrocers last week, and I spotted a bucket outside with this beauties for sale. So naturally, I parked up and handed my cash over!
Here are my first dahlias from the garden, in their full candy pink splendour. I'm hoping that by the time I get back home, more of my dahlias will have burst into flower.
