The Promise Of Spring…

Hello everyone!

Wednesday already, how did that happen?  I hope this week is treating you well so far!

For the last two days, my house has been used as a shoot location for a small company that make textiles accessories for the home.  It has been so lovely to see the little hive of creative activity unfold – laptops and paperwork overflowing on the kitchen table, the craft room stacked high with cushions and throws, and little corners of my home transformed into beautiful vignettes.  It’s such a pleasure to see this house inspire people, and it feels so wonderful to be a part of a blossoming project.  We shoot here today before going to another location tomorrow.  Then on Friday, I will be packing props and shopping for flowers for the Decorative Vintage Styling Workshop I am co-hosting on Saturday in Norwich, which I am so excited about!

The warmth of my dining room has meant that these daffodil bulbs I planted last week in old terracotta pots are already blooming, a little reminder that spring is on it’s way.  If you are feeling the winter blues, it’s such a lovely way to bring a touch of spring to a shelf or mantelpiece.  My favourite thing is to plant hyacinth bulbs in vintage vessels for the scent and the pop of green, so easy to do (see more here!) and so pretty too.

On Sunday, I’m looking forward to opening my Annie Sloan paints that they kindly sent me, and starting a couple of little furniture makeover projects.  Be prepared for a pop of colour!

Next week I have my first ever giveaway, and it’s a good one!  The wonderful Jessica Zoob is very generously giving one of my UK based readers a print from her collection (I told you it was a good one!).  Jessica’s work is absolutely exquisite, and one very lucky reader will get to have a piece of her art in their home.  If you don’t want to miss out, you can always follow my blog on Bloglovin’ here!

Right, I must go and get ready for the last day of shooting here – have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
