Tiny Teacups And Sunday Ramblings

Hello everyone
I know that for a lot of people, January is a tough month. The lack of daylight hours, freezing weather, grey days and absence of greenery or blooms in the garden, mean that many people are ready for spring. And in many ways, I am too. Especially when it comes to taking photographs. Often, by the time I’m in the mood, it’s two in the afternoon and the light is fading.
However I’m also choosing to savour these dark days. In no time at all, spring will be here. Then summer will be hot on it’s heels, and before we know it, the year will have whizzed past. I’m taking this month to live slowly, hibernate, and day dream. This is the time of year when you can stay indoors, and watch box sets without feeling too guilty! (I’m currently loving Fargo on Netflix. So good. Black Mirror is brilliant too!)
I’ve had these tiny teacups set up on my window ledge for the past week. I’ve photographed them as it’s getting light, getting dark, and when it’s rainy outside. As a result, I’ve ended up with this whimsical little collection of photographs. Bone chine teacups look so luminous with tea lights in them. And if January is definitely good for one thing, it’s for creating magic by lighting candles and tea lights.
In other news, I have finally updated my About Me page which is very exciting! The time has come to sell myself, so it is aimed more at potential clients and brands, but it’s still worth a read if you’re getting to know me. If you are new to the blog, do come and find me on Instagram and Pinterest. Have lovely afternoon.
