Vintage Finds From The Car Boot Fair This Morning!

Hello everyone!
How are you doing? It’s been a while I know! The car boot fairs here have started up again, and I really wanted to share the treasures I found this morning and last week, as I thought you would appreciate them! It was so lovely to get out there again (lockdown here in the UK is now easing, we went into lockdown just after Christmas). I’ve been itching to find some new vintage pieces, as I’ve been using the same props over and over in my monthly Reclaim Magazine styling feature, and I was starting to get a little desperate for inspiration!
What we found…
Lola and I got up early this morning and went for a good rummage, which resulted in finding some gorgeous vintage finds. Delicate old china, floral fabrics (possibly Sanderson?), an eiderdown, and a few bits of fabulous 1980’s vintage fashion, which I will probably share in another post.
I don’t think you can go wrong with vintage crockery, as its something I know we will use on a regular basis. Plus how could I resist those gorgeous colours and floral patterns? The fabrics are always useful as props, and the eiderdown is plump and so pretty. I was especially pleased with the Dartmouth Swan, as I have quite a large collection of swans now, and this one’s a beauty.
Photography….
I’ve really been concentrating on the photography side of my business lately, so please do get in touch if you are interested in me photographing your product/makes/art. I’ve done some lovely shoots recently, and I was lucky enough in lockdown to have several assignments, where clients posted me their products to shoot. I need to update my photography page, but do check it out here to see some of my work. These photos in this post were taken with my new (well, second hand!) 85mm lens, which I love, despite the fact that it weighs a ton.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
